In continuation of its strategic plan to focus all business activities and investments into plant-based proteins and food ingredients, Victoria Group - the Serbian agro-industrial conglomerate specialized in processing exclusively Non-GMO crops - has sold its edible oil business, Victoriaoil, in Serbia, to a local entity Sun Valley, ultimately co-owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and Mr. Vaja Jhashi, an Eastern European agri. entrepreneur with business operations in Moldova, Ukraine and Romania. Terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

Victoria Group, together with its member company Victoriaoil, decided to change the packaging of ISKON edible refined sunflower oil.

As part of the 85th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, awards have been traditionally presented for the best agricultural products in different categories.

The Commission for the quality assessment of edible vegetable oils and related products has awarded the Gold medal to ISKON edible refined sunflower oil. Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, was among eight producers whose products were in the competition. This year, the Novi Sad Fair once again acknowledged the quality of this oil from the oil refinery in Šid.

The Victoriaoil union organized the fourth consecutive blood donation campaign with the support of its employer. The employees from other Victoria Group member companies also joined the cause. The blood donation campaign was organized with the help of the Blood Transfusion Institute and Šid Red Cross.

A huge charity event called “Topli dinar” (“Warm Dinar”) organized by the supermarket chain PerSu, and supported by Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, has been completed.

During the month of October, this supermarket chain donated 1 dinar from each purchase, amounting to over 1.5 million dinars for firewood for 100 of the most disadvantaged families in Vojvodina. The firewood was distributed during the first half of November.

The fourth charity cooking event “Izađi mi na teglu” (English: Go Out and Fill a Jar) was held this year. The promotion of ajvar as a Serbian gastronomic brand was followed by it being donated to the institutions from the municipalities hosting this event.

On August 17, in Šid, Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, gathered the representatives of 20 of the largest animal feed factories in Serbia to promote the meal production program from its assortment. The main focus was on the high-protein sunflower meal and its application in feed formulations for different categories of farm animals.

The gathering was opened by Srđan Popov, Victoriaoil's General Manager, who gave a presentation on the factory itself – its processing capacities, technology, and production portfolio.

Rapeseed covered a record 38,000ha last fall, due to a stable price, a secure placement and the good yields realized last year. Immediately upon harvest which began around July 20, Victoriaoil started with the receipt and processing of rapeseed, especially the rapeseed certified with the ISCC standard.

The Provincial Secretary of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Vuk Radojević, visited Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, during his tour through the municipality of Šid on June 27. The delegation of the ministry was received by the General Director of the company, Srđan Popov.

For the second time in a row, Iskon edible sunflower oil was presented with the prestigious “Superior Taste Award”, awarded by the International Taste and Quality Institute, iTQi. This is a leading global organization made up of chefs and sommeliers awarded with famous Michelin stars, who test food products and promote top quality of food and drinks.
