Sunflower oil from the Victoriaoil factory, a member of the Victoria Group, was awarded another gold medal for quality at the Novi Sad Fair in the category of edible oils. This award is given within the framework of a product quality assessment, which is traditionally organized during the International Agricultural Fair. This year, the Fair is held from May 9 to May 15.

The First Counseling Conference of the confectionery industry in the region was held on April 20 and it was organized by “IHIS Nutrition”, a science institution oriented towards food technology, supported by the Group of confectionery products manufacturers, as a part of the Economic Chamber of Serbia, and Victoriaoil as one of the sponsors. This meeting gathered around 150 participants from Serbia and this region, who had the opportunity to hear the most up-to-date information on scientific achievements and new technologies in the confectionery industry.

The Second international fair and the conference on renewable energy sources, RENEXPO Western Balkans, was held in Belgrade on April 22 and 23. Attention was primarily paid to the plants for biomass and biogas as the fuel for the future, energy efficiency projects which enable more rational consumption of fuels, as well as to the possibilities for investments in this area through connections made between investors, industry leaders, ministry representatives and members of expert associations, and engineering offices.

Victoriaoil traditionally helps the operation of soup kitchens in Kosovo. This year, in cooperation with the charitable organization “Majka devet Jugovića”, 150 l of Iskon oil was delivered to soup kitchens to help day to day meal preparation for over 2,000 of the poorest citizens in this region.

Furthermore, Victoriaoil also provided help and donated oil for more than 50 socially vulnerable families from Majdanpek. More than 100 l of Iskon oil was donated, and the Human Rights Committee from this town distributed the oil to the families.

On Friday, February 27, Victoriaoil, in cooperation with the Independent Trade Union, organized a blood donation event in which 34 employees of Victoriaoil participated, and the employees of member companies, Sojaprotein and Fertil, joined them.

In September, the Victoria Group  achieved record sales of edible sunflower oil with over 8.2 million liters sold. Of these, 4.1 million liters were sold in retail chains and through traditional sales channels in Serbia, while the other 50% was exported - to countries of the region, as well as to the markets of Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, where the sunflower oil of the Victoriaoil factory has been acknowledged by partners and consumers for its outstanding quality and excellent value for price.

After a month-long competition in preparing ajvar and "crossing mixing spoons" throughout Serbia, at the event "Show me the jar", organized by the BašTaMašta association, in yesterday's big final in Belgrade, the best of the 13 teams that won in the cities from Subotica to Vranje, was selected. The company supported this humanitarian project by donating 1,200 liters of Iskon oil. The overall quantity of prepared ajvar is intended for orphanages in municipalities in which the event was held.

Victoriaoil, a member of Victoria Group, supported the campaign “Izađi mi na teglu” (English: Go Out and Fill a Jar), organised by the BašTaMašta Association and donated 1,200 litres of Iskon oil. “Izađi mi na teglu” is a one-day event involving a competition in the preparation of ajvar (red bell pepper relish) and is held in 30 cities throughout Serbia.

The campaign started today, 28 August, in Kanjiža, and will end with the final event in Belgrade, in Kalemegdan Fortress, on 11 October when it will be known who are the best ajvar-makers in the country.

Iskon oil received the prestigious ’Superior Taste Award’ established by ITQI - International Taste and Quality Institute, as the leading European organization dedicated to testing and promoting superior food and drink from all over the world. The awarding of products follows Michelin’s quality standards, and winners of ’Superior Taste’ label can use it for a period of 3 years. Iskon is the only brand in the category of oils to receive this recognition.

Last night on the prestigious award ceremony of ’Best of Serbia’ competition, traditionally organized by the Ministry of  Foreign and Internal Commerce and Telecommunication, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the economic daily Privredni Pregled, Iskon oil won second year in a row gold statuette for the best brand in food category.
