Last year, Victoriaoil entered the Chinese market, and this year the breakthrough is continued with the Iskon sunflower oil. Within the first quarter, 100,000 liters were exported to the canton of Shanghai. The company is expecting to sign contracts for larger quantities which would then be available on this market in the course of 2017. Chinese consumers can buy Iskon oil at the retail chain Young, and it is used by several hospitality businesses as well.

The traditional quality assessment of products categorized into several commodity groups was organized ahead of the 84th International Agricultural Fair which will be held in Novi Sad from May 13 to 19. ISKON edible sunflower oil produced by Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, has been awarded several times already at the Novi Sad Fair for its exceptional quality. This year ISKON was awarded a gold medal which was received by Vladimir Šarac, Quality Control and New Products Development Director at Victoriaoil.

The Victoriaoil union organized a blood donation campaign, with the support of its employer. Apart from employees at the Šid factory, employees from other Victoria Group member companies joined the cause. Zoran Zec, the union’s president, pointed out that this campaign has been organized for three years so far and that the participants are motivated by their humanity and simply wish to help.

At the meeting of the Group of vegetable oil manufacturers within the framework of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia held in November, Srđan Popov, Victoriaoil Operations Director, was elected as Group chairman. This Group is a part of the Association of Food Industry of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, and in the same month the Operations Director of our oil refinery was elected deputy chairman of its board.

This year, Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, was once again awarded the “golden rose” for product quality at the 23rd General BH ZEPS Fair 2016 that was held from October 4 to 8 in Zenica. In the category of food products, ISKON refined sunflower oil was awarded the “Ruža ZEPS” gold medal for quality, for the seventh time.

The third annual “Izađi mi na teglu” (eng. Show me the jar) event will be supported by Victoriaoil, a Victoria Group member company, which produces ISKON edible sunflower oil. By promoting ajvar (red bell pepper relish) as a traditional domestic cuisine delicacy, this socially responsible event organized by the BaštaMašta Association donates food to institutions in need throughout Serbia.

After last year’s 41% increase in revenue from sales and an increase of EUR 10.8 million in exports, Victoriaoil continues conquering new markets and expanding in countries where it has been operating for years. This year, the oil refinery which is a part of the Victoria Group made a breakthrough into the Chinese market, where the first placements of edible sunflower oil and raw soybean oil were made.

The best food products earned recognitions of quality in Novi Sad, at the traditional manifestation during the 83rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. In the category of edible oils, the expert jury of the Novi Sad Fair awarded a Grand gold medal to Victoriaoil, for their edible sunflower oil.

According to the consolidated business results in the period from September 2014 to August 2015, the so-called agricultural year, Victoria Group achieved more than EUR 380 million in sales revenue, a 15% increase compared to the previous agricultural year. An increase was also achieved both in the sales on domestic and foreign markets, while export generated over 40% of sales revenue.

Iskon oil was awarded the “Ruža Zeps” gold medal for quality at the 22nd General B&H Fair ZEPS 2015. Refined sunflower oil produced by Victoriaoil, a member of Victoria Group, received the highest recognition of this B&H fair for the fifth time. The evaluation of the product quality was carried out based on an analysis by the Institute of Food Technology of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Science in Sarajevo, as well as the assessments of consumers and the ZEPS jury of experts.
